With summer rolling into town, Boston takes the month of June to celebrate the wonder of water that is not frozen. Come enjoy the long-awaited New England summer at the Kendall Hotel–right in
the heart of what’s happening in Cambridge!
On June 5th, the Cambridge River Festival will kick off its annual celebration of the arts. Featuring music, dance, theater, visual arts, and international food, the festival turns Harvard Square into a one-day bazaar of the innovative, beautiful, and delicious. Then on the 13th, the Dragon Boat Festival takes over the Charles River with races, arts and crafts demonstrations, Asian foods, and free admission! Cheer on the dragon boats, and enjoy traditional Chinese music and dance.
Finally, on June 30th, Boston starts celebrating the Fourth of July, with the opening of the 2010 Harborfest. Opening day events range from tall ship sailing adventures to historic tours of the Freedom Trail, the Old North Church, and “the real headquarters of the American Revolution-four historic Boston pubs!” Bring the whole family for history, food, and fun.
And, of course, the Kendall Hotel is the perfect home base for your Cambridge and Boston excursion. Steps from the T and just a mile from Harvard Square, you can’t beat our location, or the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere of our thoroughly renovated historic firehouse.
