Black Sheep Special: The Oregon Prix Fixe

The Kendall Hotel’s Black Sheep Restaurant is named in honor of the motley crew of firefighters who worked tirelessly to keep this corner of Cambridge safe.  But those kinds of heroes aren’t just historic, and we’d like to show a little gratitude to the men and women across the country who risk their lives to protect ours.  One state at a time.

September’s tribute is dedicated to Oregon’s Adair Rural Fire and Rescue Department, an all-volunteer group established in 1974.  To every member, thank you!

In celebration of Oregon, for the month of September, the Black Sheep will be offering a prix fixe menu at $32 per person.

  • Rolls and homemade cornbread
  • Kendall Simple Salad
  • Featured Entree
  • Choice of Dessert
  • 1 Glass of the Black Sheep Featured Wines

And the wines, of course, are from Oregon–specifically from the family owned

and operated Foris Vineyards in Cave Junction, Oregon.  Choose from the following, and enjoy your meal!

2008 Fly Over White
The wine is medium bodied with a round entry, good purity of fruit flavors and a crisp finish, making it ideally suited for a summer sipper or a versatile accompaniment to a wide array of foods. This is a blend of pinot gris, chardonnay, and pinot blanc.

2008 Fly Over Red
Complex aromas of cocoa, mocha and concentrated black berry and cherry confirm that we are delivering some serious bang for the buck. This is a blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah.
