The Kendall Hotel's Restoration Story

The Hotel

The Kendall offers guests modern comfort and convenience — a peaceful oasis in this bustling neighborhood of Cambridge. The Hotel’s seventy-three rooms and four, one-bedroom luxury suites are all uniquely decorated with tasteful charm, and include a private bathroom with shower, tub and 100% cotton bath and bed linens. Guests can select rooms with double, queen, or king-sized beds. Please enquire for details about extended stay options, or current packages & special offers. Lobby and in-room coffee service, free internet (wireless and wired), local and toll-free phone calls, and passes to a nearby health club are available to guests. The Fireman’s Full American Breakfast Buffet with fresh, local ingredients is served daily and included in room rates. Monday through Thursday evenings, there is a hosted wine tasting in the Rooftop Retreat.

In addition to the amenities offered to provide a comfortable stay, great care was taken in selecting furniture and décor to provide an authentic experience. The American folk art theme is a tribute to both the local culture and Engine Co. 7, and adds another layer of intrigue to the culture-rich building. Owner Charlotte Forsythe, a mixed-media artist, either hand picked or designed the Victorian-inspired furnishings that transport guests back to times past. Fascinating antiques, toys and fireman regalia are thoughtfully placed throughout the hotel and reference the history of early America.
